Petroleum! 5th grade A

Today, Carlos explained us what crude oil is, how it is formed and its main characteristics. Also, he solved his classmates' doubts about it. 







Can you make an egg bounce? 5th grade B

Few months ago, Alí showed us an experiment. To do it you need one boiled egg, vinegar and a large bowl. The steps are:

1. Place the boiled egg in the bowl.
2. Completely cover the boiled egg with vinegar.
3. After three days, remove the egg from the jar. 
4. Gently rinse the shell of the egg with tap water.

Then, try bouncing the egg on a hard surface. 


Eyepiece! 5th grade A

Carolina showed us an eyepiece, designed to enlarge the image formed by the main mirror or the objective lens of optical devices such as microscopes or telescopes.

Renewable Energy! 5th grade


Capture clean energy from the wind and the Sun to produce enough electricity to run the town. Move your wind turbine up and down to keep it in the strongest, fastest winds. Minerals! 5th grade A

Laura and Emilio brought different minerals to class last November. They explained their names and their main characteristics.



Experiments! 5th grade

During this unit about Matter, we have done different experiments to put into practice the contents we have been learning.

1. Materials: a plastic bottle, soap, a sock and water. Objective: to make bubbles. 





2. Materials: a plastic bottle, vinegar, bicarbonate of soda, a funnel and a balloon. Objective: to show a chemical reaction. 

Reactants: vinegar + bicarbonate of soda. Products: salt + H2O + CO2




3. Materials: glue, a measuring glass and water. Objective: to calculate glue's volume.

Dinosaurs! 3rd grade

Both 3rd grade groups created a project about dinosaurs. They showed it to their classmates.



Plants! 5th grade

Both 5th grade groups planted different plants and looked after them: chickpeas, lentils and beans.
